On 26th May 2021, it was held a special LYSOCIL
CEDOC-NMS I FCM seminar with Dr. Guillaume Van Niel from the Institute
of Psychiatry and Neuroscience of Paris, France. This seminar was dedicated to
“Live tracking of the life cycle of exosomes” and it was organized
virtually through Zoom platform.
Workshop on Cilia and Ciliopathies

The Workshop on Cilia and Ciliopathies is
an online Workshop that will be held from 19th to 21st
May 2021, from 3 to 5 pm (Lisbon time), aiming to share the latest
discoveries and discuss current topics regarding primary and motile cilia and
ciliopathies. It will count with a renowned panel of experts. This
workshop will also promote a round-table with clinicians and Primary Ciliary
Dyskinesia (PCD) caretakers and patients and it is organized under the scope of
the European Twinning project LYSOCIL: Excel in Rare Diseases’ Research:
Focus on LYSOsomal Disorders and CILiopathies. The LYSOCIL project aims to strengthen the research and innovation capacity of the Chronic Diseases
Research Center - NOVA Medical School (CEDOC-NMS), helping it to become a
national and internationally-recognized centre of excellence in chronic rare
diseases research and innovation.

Blacque from the School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science, University
College Dublin, Ireland. This seminar was dedicated to “Border
control at the base of the primary cilium; from diffusion barriers to
ciliopathy disease mechanism” and it was organized virtually through Zoom
platform.
